Clients from different parts of the world explain their experience with this brand

This article shows the opinions of some Xcentric customers in the world. They explain the projects they work on, the production they obtain and the advantages, in their opinion, of working with attachments such as the Xcentric Ripper or the Xcentric Crusher.

COUNTRY: CURAÇAO
COMPANY: Vieira Equipment NV
YEAR: 2017
When did you first hear about the Xcentric Ripper?
I didn’t know the Xcentric Ripper existed, until Arjan introduced the machine to us in late 2013.
In 2014 we decided to buy an XR40 for our Hitachi ZX350 which has been installed in march 2014.

What kind of projects have been realized with the Xcentric Ripper so far?XCENTRIC RIPPER XR40 IN CURAÇAO
We are a heavy equipment company with different projects around the island, mainly in infrastructure and construction. We also operate a basalt-quarry to provide our concrete business with aggregates. Since we bought the Xcentric Ripper, we have used the machine at our quarry but also excavated several water-wells on request. We managed to realize these projects in record time by using the Ripper.

We managed to realize these projects in record time by using the Ripper.

In your opinion, what are the biggest advantages of the Xcentric Ripper?
First of all the very high production rate in fractured material. Also the fact that there is little maintenance needed, and that the machine is able to work under water without any modifications.

COUNTRY: ARUBA
COMPANY: Ecotech Aruba NV
YEAR: 2017

When did you start working with the Xcentric Ripper, and in what kind of material is it used?
We are using the XR40 in our granite-sandstone quarry in Aruba. At this moment the Ripper has been operational for about 7 months.

What methods did you use prior to the Xcentric Ripper?
Before the Xcentric Ripper, we have used a fixed ripper tooth as well as a hydraulic hammer.

Does the Xcentric Ripper have a positive impact on the efficiency of your operation?
Yes it does, the Ripper delivers a high productivity and provides our operation with flexibility.

In your opinion, what are the biggest advantages of the Xcentric Ripper?
The minimum level of maintenance and minimum vibrations into our excavator, together with low noise levels and a high production rate make the Xcentric Ripper a great asset.

COUNTRY: THAILAND
COMPANY: Tawitee International Group
YEAR: 2017

What type of rock excavation do you do?
I run a quarry for minerals that we supply to cement plants. Our concession is 64 hectares and we started operations 10 years ago. The material is soft volcanic rock that consists of High Alkaline rock and High Alumina rock. The minerals are used in the manufacturing of cement. Our daily production is 3000 tons with a maximum size of 150mm.

When did you first hear about the Xcentric Ripper?
I saw advertisement about Xcentric Ripper in the magazine published by the Thai Mining Association. The equipment looked interesting so I contacted STM Construction Equipment and asked them about Xcentric Ripper.

XCENTRIC RIPPER XR20 COMMISSIONED WITH MS SUKANYA IN THAILAND

What made you purchase the Xcentric Ripper?
Most or the material in my quarry is very soft so we can take it out with a bucket. In some areas the material is too hard for the bucket and we were struggling with that. It is still too soft and too many cracks to be able to use blasting or rock breakers effectively. The people from STM Construction Equipment came to visit my quarry and showed me videos of the ripper working in other quarries and they were confident it would work well in my quarry.

STM invited me to the Xcentric factory, where I was able to see a demonstration of the Xcentric Crusher. After seeing it in action, I placed order for an XC20.

XCENTRIC CRUSHER XC20 CRUSHING ROCK AT MAXIMUM OUTPUT OF 150mmAfter running the Xcentric Ripper for some time, STM Construction Equipment introduced me to a new product they were launching, Xcentric Crusher. In some areas the output has rock that is larger than the required 150mm size. I needed an effective way of crushing these and thought Xcentric Crusher would be good for this. STM invited me to the Xcentric factory in Spain where I was able to see a demonstration. After seeing the crusher bucket in action, I placed order for an XC20.

When did you start working with the Xcentric Ripper, and what is your experience so far?
The Xcentric Ripper, model XR20, was commissioned on 31 August 2016 so we have only used it for 6 months. But so far it has been working great and can easily handle the harder rock. We get around 100 ton per hour in production so we are very happy with that. The dealer visits us once a month to do the maintenance on the machine and we are very happy with that.

The Xcentric Crusher, model XC20, was commissioned on 3 March 2017. It has till date been running 133 hours without any problems. It can handle the rock well and help us crush the larger pieces. It takes roughly 20 seconds to crush a full bucket and total cycle time is around 40 seconds so it’s quite fast. The excavator becomes a bit front heavy so we are looking at adding a counter weight to compensate for that.

What methods did you use prior to the Xcentric Ripper?
Actually we did not have a method for the harder areas before we started using rippers. We have a large concession so we could focus on the areas where the rock was soft and leave the hard rock for later. But with the Xcentric Ripper, we can also tackle the hard rock.

COUNTRY: MOROCCO
COMPANY: STACOFIM SARL
YEAR: 2018

What do you think of Xcentric Ripper?
It is the perfect machinery to perform work in not very hard terrain and with fractured rock.

How did you know about Xcentric Ripper?XCENTRIC RIPPER XR20 IN MOROCCO
We knew of the existence of Xcentric Ripper thanks to the company Transabima, which got in touch with us knowing that we had problems with the blasting.

How often do you use it?
We are working with the XR40 for 10 hours daily around 26 days a month.

What is your interest in Xcentric Ripper?
For us Xcentric Ripper has been our salvation, because before the prohibition to use blasting and after having invested millions in the field, we had no other option.

What do you think of Xcentric Ripper?
Every day I am more surprised because of its efficiency and power and we are thinking of acquiring another machine like XR60 or XR80.

When did you start working with Xcentric Ripper and why did you buy our product?
It all started with a series of complaints processed by our neighbours, which caused the government to prohibit the blasting in that area so the quarry was paralyzed, since the hydraulic hammers could do little in the field. The production was stopped until the people of Transabima arrived with a solution that we had never heard of, a hydraulic ripper. They gave us a demonstration and we were very satisfied with the work.

Why did you decide to work with Xcentric Ripper?
We decided to work with this company when we were doing an important job in Marrakech cleaning the Tichka curves. At first we worked with hydraulic hammers but then we heard about the vibrating ripper and decided to buy one from a French company which turned out to be a fraud because the machine stopped working after a week. We finally got in touch with Xcentric Ripper through Transabima and we were able to see this company’s product, which we are now using.

What are the advantages of working with Xcentric Ripper?
Mainly the high production rates and the minimum level of maintenance, as well as the advantage of being able to work on active roads.

COUNTRY: AUSTRALIA
COMPANY: BULL BROS EARTHMOVING
YEAR: 2018

This customer tells about his experience with an Xcentric Ripper XR20.

“We run an earthmoving and recycling business in Naracoorte, South Australia, home of the World Heritage Listed Naracoorte Caves.
We have our own Limestone Quarry in the Caves District in which we use a Komatsu 275 Dozer to rip and raise rubble for crushing. We have seams running through the quarry that the dozer can’t mark that we hammer out or drill and blast and then Hammer down to size for the crusher.

I found the Xcentric Ripper handled these areas far more cost effectively than drill and blast and far quicker and more efficiently thatn the hydraulic hammer.

I found the XR20 handled these areas far more cost effectively than drill and blast and far quicker and more efficiently than the hydraulic hammer.
Having seen how effective the XR20 worked we have ordered an XR30 and will be upgrading our Excavator to suit as we believe this will be even more productive for us”.

COUNTRY: CANADÁ
YEAR: 2018

This Canadian customer talks about his experience with an Xcentric Ripper XR82. These comments are excerpted from an article published in the industry magazine “Heavy Equipment Guide”:

XCENTRIC RIPPER XR82 IN CANADA

We needed a tool that would work well under water and the XR82 has performed to our expectations so far.

A customer in the pile and dredging industry was searching for an excavation tool that could be deployed for a three-month project which included the removal of more than 40,000 yards of basalt from a shoreline to make way for a new harbour and breakwater for incoming marine traffic. The superintendent saw video of the new XR Mining Series working online and decided to give the new, more powerful version of the hydraulic ripper a chance to prove it belonged in their arsenal of excavation tools. “We have the XR82 model working on one machine and a clamshell bucket for dredging on the other,” he said. “We needed a tool that would work well under water and the XR82 has performed to our expectations so far. I see it proving valuable as an asset in our equipment fleet and working really well on some of our more specialty projects.”
